I recommend being nearby for the first lesson to help your child get settled and navigate the computer, tablet or iPad. After that, it's best to stay within earshot in case they need a little support.

Yes, many children can stay focused online—often even better than in traditional settings. Shorter, structured online sessions help reduce overwhelm and minimise distractions, allowing children to stay engaged and on task. I design each lesson with a variety of fun activities and games to keep things lively and interesting.

After teaching both face-to-face and online, I’ve found that online learning offers unique advantages. Children are naturally engaged by the screen, which helps capture their attention. The flexibility of switching between activities quickly keeps lessons dynamic, and I have access to a wide range of digital resources to support each child's learning. Despite the virtual setting, I’m still able to build strong, meaningful connections with my students—and we often achieve more in a shorter amount of time.

Yes, absolutely.

Online learning in a small, supportive group can significantly boost your child's confidence and academic progress. With focused attention, engaging activities, and consistent encouragement, children often begin to feel more capable and proud of their achievements.

As their understanding grows and they experience success—especially in reading and writing—you’ll likely see a real improvement in both their confidence and their results. Every small win builds momentum!

No problem! All lessons are recorded (with only the tutor and interactive whiteboard visible—children’s webcams are not included). If your child misses a session, you’ll receive a copy of the recording so they can catch up in their own time and continue learning without falling behind.
